Modern, fun and diverse – these are the three words that will best describe what this city offers its guests. Aarhus is considered as one of the happiest cities on Earth and there is a very good reason for that. A walk down its galleries or getting a drink to its Old Town will just show you how incredibly happy its citizens are.

Located in Jutland peninsula, Aarhus is a dynamic city with both the mountains and the harbour to offer. The best thing about all these is that they can be visited in a bike for about 15 minutes or less. It only takes long when you decide to stop and enjoy the majestic view that it offers. Aarhus is also the home to Denmark’s most famous places like the Jelling Rune Stones, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, fjords and the best beaches to explore.

Denmark is the youngest city in Denmark. A little more than 13% of the total population of the city are 13 years old and below, making them the youngest city in Denmark. On a more historical perspective, though, it is one of the oldest cities. The total population of Aarhus is a little over 300,000 people. So if you are looking for a weekend getaway, then this is the best place to go to.

Being young as it is, this city has got a lot to offer. From the wild cultural experience that you will be up for to the nightlife down to the shopping, you will definitely enjoy your stay in Aarhus.
