Caroline Wozniacki, Denmark’s number one tennis player, continues to shine. This 21-year-old professional tennis star has gained international attention since debuting in World Tennis Association (WTA) in 2005.
Apart from gaining followers from all over the world, this lovely Dane has also become a brand model just like the other top female tennis players including Maria Sharpova and the Williams sisters. Caroline Wozniacki is currently the brand ambassador of Sonny Ericsson. She had been holding this position since 2007 and the good news is that her contract has been extended by the Swedish-Japanese handset maker up to 2013.
For her additional role outside of the tennis court, Caroline will be involved in a variety of activities the company will conduct. Part of the deal requires the Danish tennis world number one to wear the official Sony Ericsson WTA logo on her tennis outfits and actively take part in the company’s events. She will then be the face in the different advertisements and promotions of Sonny Ericsson and be involved in the Xperia Smartphone Hot Shots. The company believes Wozniacki is the perfect brand model for being active, ambitious and optimistic.
Since becoming the first Danish tennis player to hold the World No. 1 post on the tour, Wozniacki has won 16 WTA singles titles. For this year 2011, Caroline gained her first major win as World No. 1 in the Australian Open. Her latest game was in the e-Boks Sony Ericsson Open, an international-level tournament held in her native country of Denmark specifically in Farum from June 6-12.
