Denmark Readies for ICT Event

Technology is a major part of Denmark. In fact, its capital of Copenhagen has the highest ICT penetration rates in terms of mobile phones and internet, among others. The Danish capital boasts of internationally renowned research and development facilities as well as skilled and innovative scientists and workers.

As a country which embraces technology and where technology is continuously advancing, Denmark is now all set to hold its ICT Danmark 2010. This is the biggest exhibition of the nation’s IT industry which will take place on March 10 to 12 at the Bella Center of Copenhagen City.

This event is the only one of its kind where the latest trends and developments in information technology as well as practical applications will be presented to the public. Expected to attend are web designers, IT managers, search optimization managers, marketing, sales and business development  managers, communication managers and heads of the media business.

Also to take place during this two-day March event is the Internet Expo Goteborg. This is the biggest sales event for internet related and digital marketing products. Organized by EasyFairs, this activity provides a golden opportunity for IT professionals and players to gather in one venue and present developments in their businesses.  Expected to be featured are online advertising, content management, e-commerce, payment systems, email marketing, search optimization, mobile marketing and other web-based business solutions.

If you will recall, Denmark was named by the World Economic Forum as the world’s IT nation in 2006-2007. The country also topped the E-readiness Index in 2007. In addition, Copenhagen being the center of education in Denmark plays a significant role in making the Oresund region as the biggest area in Scandinavia where human ICT resources abound.

With these achievements in the ICT industry, technology is sure to remain dynamic in Copenhagen in particular and Denmark in general.
