They’ve got a lot of the best places in the world and the best thing about these places is that you can see them all for free! In Copenhagen alone, you can walk your way through two of the major sites in the city – the Nyhavn and the Little Mermaid. Indeed, Copenhagen deserves the title of being the cheapest capital in the world, making it easy for tourists and locals alike to see the sites and enjoy its wonders.

There are other well-known landmarks within the city that you can also see for free. The Mons Klint as well as the famous buried lighthouse at the Rubjerg Knude are also free for the public to see. What’s even better is that almost all these tourist sites are accessible either by bike or even on foot.   • Check out the Tower at the Parliament. You can spend the day climbing up the tower of the Kings! Take a great view of the whole of Copenhagen from this very famous Denmark landmark made famous by the one and only Borgen.

  • The White Cliffs of Mon is an hour’s drive to the south of Copenhagen. It is one of Denmark’s most iconic landmarks. You can enjoy the trails and the view from almost a 100 meters above sea level.

  • How about going a trip down memory lane when you visit the Trelleborg? It is the museum that showcases everything about the Viking Age. Only an hour away from the city of Copenhagen, Harold Bluetooth built this museum to encourage people to learn more about their history.
