For those who are wondering where the best to place to party is in Denmark, one of the more frequently mentioned is the Jomfru Ane Gade. This is actually a street in Aalborg, Denmark which is home to a long stretch of restaurants and bars. By day, people can have their choice of places to quietly dine. Once evening sets in however, it transforms into the merriest party place primarily because of the numerous discos found in the area.

The name of the street translates to Virgin Anne's Street after Ane Viffert who was interestingly a nun who lived in nearby Skavegade. The street used to house merchant homes. It is said to have started its existence during the 16th century.

The first restaurant opened in 1967. Another followed the next year because of the first restaurant's success. The number of restaurants and pubs continued to increase through the years until it became as it is today.

This party place or street to be specific is very popular among locals and tourists. It is said to be especially attractive to young adults because of the relatively cheap prices of drinks, not to mention the rarity of requiring entry prices by the establishments. Although many give their nod to Jomfru Ane Gade as the best best party place in the middle of the city, a few consider the atmosphere too rowdy for their taste. This should explain why majority of its clientele are aged below 25.
