Seeing Denmark budget and enjoying the many attractions in Denmark need not mean spending a fortune – with a few practical tips and handy information on hand, you can still experience some of the best things that the country offers.

Bike your way around. What a nice activity to do a bike tour ! While walking is of course another good way to explore Denmark, you can cover more ground by using a bicycle. This is especially good if you are touring around Copenhagen where they have the “City Bikes.” For just a 20 DKK deposit, you can bike around the designated citybike zones – and afterwards you can get your 20 DKK back! Just look for any of the 110 city bike-racks around the city.

Visit museums for free. There are a number of museums and  in Denmark that designate “free days” – or at least one day a week or month where admission to the public is free. For instance, the Copenhagen City Museum offers free entry on Fridays while the National Museum of Denmark even offers free guided tours. Always check with local tourist offices in Denmark for special offers such as this.

You can take the Copenhagen city card for access to a lot of attractions and transports and save money for your vocation !

Enjoy outdoor events. Spring and summer in Denmark are usually the best times to take advantage of the many events that are taking place in and around the city. There are music festivals as well as open-air film showings that are almost always free and open to the general public. There is the annual Copenhagen Jazz Festival in July, the Festival Week in Aarhus in August/September, open-air performances of the Royal Opera and the Royal Ballet in cities such as Copenhagen, Kolding and Skamlingsbanken just to name a few.
