We all knew that the Copenhagen Fashion Week would draw out the elite and the fashionable, and who better to grace the International event than two of the most fashionable members of the Danish royalty – Princess Mary and Princess Marie?
One of the princesses was there on an official capacity, with Princess Mary opening the International Fashion Fair at the Bella Center last week. A regular at such fashion events, it was still an honor for many of the fashion designers and stylists nonetheless to meet her, as she stayed on for a bit to browse through the clothes and accessories on display. And while she sported a pink clutch bag during the affair, it was reported that Princess Mary confided to a designer that she “loved bags that can be hung on the shoulder” since “they are very practical when you have kids”. As a mum of four, this is something she would know about!
Princess Marie, wife of Prince Joachim of Denmark, also enjoyed her time at the Fashion Week watching David Andersen’s fashion show. She was reported to have spent some time chatting with the designer runway show, who of course took the time to personally show her some of her favorite pieces. So we can bet that David Anderson’s pieces will definitely be showing in the princess’ wardrobe pretty soon.
Fashionistas need not be sad though with the Fashion Week over and done with, because you can bet that soon enough the latest trends seen on the runways will be in Copenhagen’s shop windows ready for you to try on and buy. After all, Copenhagen IS a shopping haven!
